Helping Disadvantaged Local Women Break The Cycle of Poverty
Fully funded by Park Hyatt Siem Reap and the global initiative Hyatt Thrive, the Life and Hope Association (LHA) Sewing School was set up in 2006 to offer personal advancement routes to vulnerable individuals, stimulate local economic development and invest in the community. The progressive LHA initiative identifies young people from rural locations to enroll in LHA programmes that provide food, medical care, lodging, industrial sewing training, starter equipment and basic skills, giving them better access to resources and opportunities.
Park Hyatt Siem Reap offers a platform at The Glasshouse Deli for collections of uniquely local artistries to reach more buyers in support of LHA. We are committed to empowering our local communities and driving local solutions. Opportunities abound for our guests to have a lasting and significant effect on the local community.
